Knights of Columbus
Duquesne University
Paper

Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen
committed to the exemplification of charity,
unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Order is
unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock
principles that the Order was founded over a
century ago and remains true to them today.

The Knights of Columbus is a lay Catholic
family fraternal service organization.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to all practical Catholic men in communion with the Holy See, age eighteen and above. The term practical Catholic implies that a person accepts and abides by the Commandments of God and
the precepts and tenets of the Catholic church.

Knights of Knowledge Left to Right: Brian Carbonara, Phil Camden, Ron Tiedeman, and Ron Como

(October 6, 2007) - The 2007 College Bowl took place on October 6th, with the Knights of Columbus reigning supreme as they earned the right to stand alone as the official College Bowl Champions by the end of the day.

Team leader Phil Camden (second from the left) led the team in answering many clutch questions such as the final question that determined who would win the tournament. Ron Como (far right) was notorious for his lightning fast impulses when the team needed it most. Both Brian Carbonara (far left) and Ron Tiedeman (third from the left) were beneficial in answering bonus questions that were awarded to teams that answered the previous toss-up questions correct. Even though the Knights of Columbus had the dynamic duo pairs, their trip to the trophy was well competitive beating the undefeated team in a sudden death round for the championship.

(September 8, 2007) - Duquesne University Knights of Columbus Advisor Father Naos McCool was the celebrant priest at the very first ever Irish Mass sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) at Syracuse, New York.
